C&c Cage Advise.

Hi. I'm looking at getting a c&c cage. I have two males and was wondering if three squares long and 2 squares deep would be ok. The squares are 14" x14".

I think that is too small for two boys. The recommened minimum for 2 boys is 5x2 as they require more of their own space than girls (whose min is 4x2)
 
2x3 is almost certainly going to be too small for two boars. The absolute minimum for two sows is 7.5 square ft, although that is the size you should not go below, not the recommended size. For two pigs it is advised that you go for something around 10.5 square ft or bigger, and really boars need that extra space unless they're particularly laid back. For comparison, a 2x3 is just under 8 square ft. A 2x3 may be ok for 2 sows, but you really should go for a 2x4 (which is about 10.5) or bigger for two adult boars. Even then, bigger is always better.
 
I keep seeing people saying they need 4x2. Is this 4ftx2ft or 4x2 squares. 3x2 square are just short of 4ft but wider than 2ft.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm trying to sort an indoor cage but I have a limited space so just checking out my options x

4x2 c&c takes up 56"x28" floor space :)
 
Honestly, my 2 male pigs are in a 2x3 like you said, and they have not fought. I can't say that for all pigs and maybe I just lucked out, but it has been fine for me. It is on the smaller end as mine is more temporary, but I think it depends a little on how your pigs act in the cage. Mine will be upgraded in size soon, but until then it has done them well.
 
I have 2 girls in a 4x2 and honestly wouldn't want them in anything smaller. I believe boys need more space than girls so would agree that a 4x2 should be the minimum.
 
My three are in the dining room which is only used for them and hamsters now. It is opposite the kitchen so I see them loads and hear them!
 
It's a shame it don't look like I can do it. I can only get a 3 and a half by 2 c& c cage so just not quite enough. ☹️
It was worth looking into. I got all excited about fleece lol. Never mind☹️
 
Could you be inventive about where it goes? I built this mini one under a unit in my living room. I could have done it outside the legs to make it bigger. I've seen some which have been made into units going round the room but can still be used as furniture. Tried to copy link but my phone won't do it. I agree with Reenie about being creative with the space.
For me the huge advantage of a C&C is that it can be made into a different shape to fit the space you have available.
Mine is in an L shape in my living room.
I have 2 girls in a 2 x 4 grid C&C, and in all honesty there is no way I would want to go much smaller than that for 2 piggies.
My mixed pair are in a 5 x 2 grid C&C and I think that is a good size for 2 piggies (especially boars).
 
What about a two story 3x2? It would take up the same floor space but give them double the room.
 
Unfortunately the space I have is 4ft wide. And the 4x2 c&c is bigger than 4ft.
I can do two story no problem. Just wish I could move the walls lol. I've tried every which way lol. Heights no problem it's just width. I'm so gutted I really wanted an indoor c&c but it's not ment to be.
 
I have to female guinea pigs in a two story 3x2. The best thing to do would be get some grids and experiment with the space you have that way you can set it up lots of different ways and see what works best. We had a very limited space for our c&c cage but everntually we worked something out.
