now I'm sure this has probably been done 1000 times before but I'm thinking of making a c&c cage for when my piggie has her babies. What size will i need it for there will be I'm guessing no more than 4/5 babies in this cage when done.

How many grids etc will i need?
where should i get them from?
what size should it be?
how easy is it to clean out?
can you put a lid on it? as cage will be in my garage
also the base, where will i get that from?

obviously looking for the cheapest place, think thats all the questions thanks in advance

chck this site out,

I got two lots of grids from Screwfix and got the Correx from a local signmaker. You can get this from Travis Perkins ( they call it Cordek) too.

its really easy to clea, i have pro fleece (layed underneath is newspaper) and on upper level i have newspaper and hay.

I'd love to be able to build 1 of them but dont think i could do it lol, plus i would have to have a top on it cos of my cats

We just upgraded our c&c cage. It's now 3 grids wide and 8 grids long and my ten girls love it. I use lino for the base instead of correx.

I build a second cage for my baby boar and he promptly tried to climb through the holes in the grids so I had to buy new ones from Screwfix which have only very small gaps.

i got my grids from "connie cook" ebay store, but they have their own online stor too. i've got a 3by6 cage with four piggies in,but i'm hoping to bond my boar with my sows once he's had his op!
