C&C Cage

Hi

I plan to make my two piggies a C&C cage. I already have the grids and just need the correx. What I was wondering is what size should I go for and whether to have a second level. If I do put in a second level, what do you use to make the ladder?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Sue,

Two Pigs need 4x2 worth of space so that is 12 grids. Upstairs if you did it I would make it 2x1 because you don't want to make it big that you can't clean underneath! That would take up 5 grids and the ramp, I made mine by bending two pieces of correx together with me feet! Or get a man to do it! Thats another 2 grids.

Thanks for that. I've got enough grids and will get some correx soon. I wanted a second floor as my Ozzy sometimes gets a bit fed up with the attention from Strudle so I hoped having another level would give him the chance to get away for a while! I'm sure Strudle loves Ozzy but he can be a bit full on sometimes! I also want to use vetbed rather than sawdust as Ozzy seems to be prone to getting colds. Would that help him?
