hello i have a 2x4 cage and wish i got the bigger size, i have a large plastic hay box for them to pee in and eat i am going to cover it so it is darker and hopefully encourage them to go in. is there any way i can make this cage bigger, can you buy the spare grids anywhere. i don’t have a loft for this and would like to add this also.

I've just bought my first lot of c and c grids on amazon. There is supposed to be enough in the pack to make a two storey enclosure but I'm going to keep it ground level. I think they do smaller sizes, but you can just arrange them as you like. No chloroplast included though so i think i'll use a thick waterproof table cloth at the bottom under there fleece liners. Maybe this is an option for you?

I bought a second complete C&C cage and cut a doorway in the correx plastic base to join them up and put the grids round. Then I bought a 3rd so we now have a 5x2 c&c with two 3x2 c&cs joined on and doorways cut in the plastic base connecting them! The spare grids are useful for increasing the height to 2 grids where there are hidey houses they might climb on and jump out :) the seperate "rooms" are handy for making seperate cage areas, we have a fleecy bedroom and a hayroom and a kitchen room where the food bowls go. The correx plastic cuts very easily with a stanley knife and will tape back together with duct tape if you need to split the cage or want to change your cage layout :):)

I didn’t use the loft when I bought my c&c cage - there was a table in the way!
When I went up to 4 piggies we dismantled the table (now in bits on the landing) and used the loft piece to make an L shaped cage.

that is a really lovely set up, lucky piggies to have so much room.

I found mine grids at bed bath and beyond. Best price too! I get my coroplast from home Depot.
i live in England and nothing is cheap over here. 🤭 you have so many huge stores over in America, i was blown away with the choices and prices. 😁
