C+c cages

No. Their spines are delicate. They also shouldn’t be put on their back or dressed up.

Make sure the grids that have 9 holes. They are usually sold with connectors but I (and many others) used cable ties as well. You then join the grids using the connectors in whatever configuration you want. Correx you can buy online - eBay - and it comes rolled up. There is an alternative in wickes called proplex. It’s thinner and easier to cut. You can then cut it to the size you want.

there is a video on how to build one on YouTube if you do a search.
I can't believe I've never seen the 9 hole info before :lose:!
I've spent over two weeks designing my first c&c and bought over 100 grids with 7 (!) holes because I had some at home from years ago. Now sewing the mats and cozies! Measured it and it's 4,5 cm gap. It never crossed my mind there could be different types as never came across people saying it's rule number one!
OK, so do I proof it (seen pics online with adding extra grid over) or just buy more grids:doh: They're adults, but seems like going from 9 to 7 is a big push!

I would probably try and get the 9 hole ones...

That just sums my luck lately... Can't believe I've spent close to £100 for something I cannot use. Reviews even had C&C pics built from them! I'll see if I can replace the floor where they'll live with 9 hole grids as the lower levels were built as storage. Anyway, they weren't moving in yet, so glad I found it! Piggie forum saved the day again!
I know how my boys are feeling, promised new house, but solicitors and surveyors taking their time
