Is there any one here that makes them then put's them up for sale?
Or do you know any one that does that?

I haven't got one yet but am currently looking into it so have no experience but I don't think they're that difficult to put together. It will also be cheaper to put it together yourself.

I found this one at B&Q - however they only stock it in warehouses so I'm actually waiting to find out if my local store can order it in for me.

There's a video on YouTube showing how these cages are made, it may be useful for you:

It's not too difficult, getting the correx and grids is the hard bit. The grids are stocked in the large B&Q in Milton Keynes if that's of any use to you. I'm currently trying to locate some correx....

We built our's in November last year, and used cubes from Wickes (I think they were £25 for a pack of 18), and shed flooring for "Easy Shed" from Homebase instead of proper correx. I think it might be slightly tougher than correx, but was easy enough to cut (well I "supervised", using the BF's handyman skills not mine!). We got 2 packs of flooring for £20 (half price at the time though).

Putting the grids together is easy enough - we used cable ties for extra security. Correx was sourced from a local sign maker (look at yell.com) or go to travis perkins - they call it something different though, but if you explain that it is the stuff that for sale signs are made of, they will know what you are talking about!

good luck,

C x

I second the cable ties! We bought a pile of them in Wickes. Making the C&C cages has been the best move we made for our guinea's.

Agree with all the above - our two C+C cages are awesome and the pigs love them. And we got some cool cable-ties so there's a colour scheme going on!

A word of advice - we went to a local signmaker for the correx and I think (with hindsight) that we got ripped off a treat... it was a custom cut size and i think i paid way over the odds, and way over what other people have paid.

That shed flooring sounds like a really good idea! Might have to look there if i decide to build a new one.

Oh! and p.s if you're thinking of getting fleece for your C+Cs I'd stay away from white... i bought 10m of white (yes, another oversight, i've got enough to carpet my own home) and it gets a little grubby with repeated use... nothing nasty or eye-catching, but a coloured fleece would probably look the part for longer.
