Hello!

I'm looking at getting a C&C Cage for my two piggies so that I can move them downstairs and spend a lot more time with them. I want to take them off the floor as their current set up can only be on the ground. I was just wondering what people use to put their C&C Cages on, I was looking at the 2x4 and didn't know whether to buy a stand with the cage or whether to try and source some kind of table/sideboard. Obviously being 149cm in length and 77cm wide makes it pretty hard to find something that will hold the entire cage so any ideas would be helpful! :)

Exactly for this reason we built our own tables for my 7x2 L shaped C&C. One 5x2 size and one 2x2 size

I've got the IKEA Lack side tables that I'll be putting my C&C on when I redesign it, they're 55cm high which should hopefully make it easier for me to clean. They're £5 odd each and I think I got 4/5 to put mine on. Mine is on the floor atm too, very hard to clean down there :))

Ooh thanks! I'll definitely have a look at the IKEA stuff, I don't know why I didn't think of there, what a donut! At least they'd be higher and more aesthetically pleasing than the gridded stands from the C&C place! :)

That's what I thought, plus good storage and I was gunna attach curtains to the front to hide all the piggy stuff :shh:

Definitely need good storage! I've just invested in a 10kg bag of Burgess pellets so I'm already on the storage tub train haha but it can never be too organised!
I'm hoping my girls will be happier downstairs, at the moment they have their own bedroom which is nice but they don't get much interaction so moving them will let me spend more time with them and I can have my spare room back!

I use the same tables as wiebke, got the idea from her. Love them. Such an easy height to work with. I use dog lead clips at regular intervals instread of cable ties so that I can remove the front c and c grids for easy reach cleaning.

Ooh you don't use correx, only fleece stuff? That's quite interesting, maybe that'll save me soms money too! The girls are getting it as an early birthday present so I've got a bit of time to make up my mind haha

I am using Rationell cupboard liner from ikea, which I tape to the table tops and replace occasionally but I had to fix some brackets from hardware shop to the sides of my tables to prevent the cable-tied grids from going over the edge. They are cheaper than correx, but you can use correx, too.

How did you fix the brackets wiebke? I use bricks to keep mine in place but would love something more permanent.

You just make a little pilot hole for the tip of the screw and then screw it in with a drill or a screwdriver. Even I have been able to do it with a just screwdriver, and I am no handywoman! ;)

If anyone has the 2x4, do you know how big the cage liners are? I want to order some to get all ready so when my cage comes I can do the big move straight away! :)
