The cage is fantastic and I've added a little extension for their litter/eating/playing tray. Because I'm not using correx, I am finding hay (and poops 🤷🏻‍♀️) coming through the cage. I use bath mats in the hay areas. I'm still working on how I want the cage set up, and I change it round each full clean out.

Is there something simple I could use inside or outside of the cage to prevent overspill? I was wondering about cardboard? Obviously, it's not a big problem with hard floors and constant poop collection; my entire house is dotted with hay!

The pigloo is still working well, they often snuggle up together.

Cardboard is likely to get wet from their wee or be munched on… I can’t really think of anything else you could use but someone else might.

When we travel with the guinea pigs, I use a giant bit of fleece as a base & peg it up 3 of the sides to attempt to prevent hay & poo coming out.

Ooh that would work a treat! Just stretch the fleece and peg it a little way up the sides.
