Cage Cleaning Gambolling

Awww, I do love seeing them so much! They've really grown, so has Meryn mind - she's now 586g yesterday; not so much a minipig anymore.

Meleri is the little one, she is 480g. Miaren is not far off 600g either! They are no longer babies and not all that far off being teenagers now.

Awww the babies have grown heaps and are sooo cute.
Something about a clean cage always gets my two super excited. It is funny to watch. Nice video @Wiebke

Miaren was the biggest when they were born at 102g and was always the heaviest. Meryn was 90g at birth and Meleri was 82g.

The weight difference is not unusual in siblings. I had it with my Triplets and even more pronounced with my teddy sisters Nerys (the large piggy in my avatar) and her much smaller, but more energetic sister Nia who was the top sow of the original Tribe for several years.

How many are n your tribe now? From your signature I count 31 but I am sure I am going wrong somewhere.

Barri is such a chunk but so gorgeous,

Myfina has sadly died over Christmas, so I am down to 30.
11 of my piggies are now 5-8 years old. I am not planning to replace most of them unless absolutely necessary.

That’s a LOT of poo and nail trims in your home. Wow I don’t know how you manage so many, kudos to you and so sorry about Myfina :soz:

It is basically nonstop piggy cleaning while trying to squeeze in some human washing before my OH raises a big fuss over no clean underpants left... :yikes:

And a lot of work, especially with all the medicating thrown in. I have worked up to it gradually over the years, but must admit that this number is now definitely over the limit I am happy with for the longer term.

Which is why I want to come down to more manageable numbers again. I lost six and adopted nine piggies last year. This year the balance has to be the other way round!

I am in awe of your capabilities and dedication. I don’t think I could handle half your number and stay sane. I totally understand your decision to allow the ranks to thin out naturally as time progresses.

I watched Comet do the same thing exactly after a cage cleanout this morning. They're so cute to watch when they're like that. "Clean stuff! Must play in clean stuff!"

...and it's much better than Blitzen's tantrum about being moved from one side of the cage to the other. Gimme playful guineas any time
