Hi, we have just got 2 guinea pigs. They are living indoors with wood shavings as their main bedding at the moment. We just wondered what's the easiest way or easiest equipment to both spot clean & full clean.
Do you use a little little scoop or anything?
Sorry we are probably overthinking this.
Thanks 😊

I use gardening gloves (due to hay/dust allergies!) to scoop as much out as possible into an old bucket then follow up with my handheld hoover to pick up any stray shavings.

Welcome to the forum!

Mine are also on shavings and hay - I use a dustpan and brush for both spot cleaning and full cleaning.

(Don’t worry about asking us questions -
We are always more than happy to help!)
Thank you 😊

I e got my two new piggies on shavings and hay and wondering how to remove poo ? Would a litter scoop work with big shavings ?

I just use dustpan and brush or a small trowel.
I imagine a litter scoop will keep hold of the shavings but allow the poops to fall back through to the floor ie it’ll work the opposite of what you actually need
