Now that spring is approaching and hopefully the weather to go with it I will be taken my boys cages outside for a soak and deep clean. I would appreciate some advice on whether white vinegar is the best to use to remove staining and what is the recommended ratio of water to vinegar to use. Many thanks

I like to do this in spring too, although I still have a while to go here before it's warm enough for that!

What cage do you have - wooden, correx, grids, etc?

The base is the standard plastic type ? Correx

White vinegar does work well for stains on correct.
I also use F10 spray when I’m doing a deep clean

I use 50/50 water white vinegar mix in a spray bottle for general cleaning. When I do a deep clean I use F10. I was horrified to find black gungy mould in the crease where the corex is folded up to make the sides recently. I'd obviously not been flattening the corex out enough to get right into the crease. Roll on spring when I can take it outside to scrub!
