I have two, three month old, female guinea pigs that are cage mates. They have gotten along perfectly well until today when all of the sudden the bigger female stated chasing and nipping at the other female ears. Please can someone advice me as to what can be causing this type of behavior since everything appeared to be working nicely for them until today.

Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear you are having issues.

Chasing would be a dominance thing and maybe because the girls are in season. Has any blood been drawn - has she actually caught the other piggies ear? Have you separated them or are the together?

Here is a link to sow behaviour and dominance https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/sow-behaviour.38561/ Do they have 2 of everything e.g. Food bowls, houses etc....
