right we have decided to get 2 boys joey and chandler lol

what u think about the cage? suitable for 2 pigs?

right will i get tmothy hay for eating and cheaper hay for the cage pets at home nuggets and fresh veg/fruit and what about bedding did some1 say shredded paper? also can i use newspaper with the ink I'm in the uk!

do i ned 2 water bottles or they just share? how big a bootle do i need dont want them thirsty while I'm working lol

also how do ppl set up their cages newspaper on bottom with hay and shreded paper on top?

1 last question ::) :P O0 lol where do they poo cause my hamster mostly used 1 corner s i just scoped it out replaced that bit so it saved cleaning everything lol
 
I have no idea about the indoor cage bit but i do know the biggest you can get is the best.

Piggies poo everywhere but some will be nice and poo in a certain area for you and apparently they can be trained! I Use hay for bedding and they eat it too I get mine from a Live stock supply shop I pay 2.75 for a bale, you can look in your yellow pages for a farm supply shop. I use timothy hay for treats and stuff it in loo rolls as toys. I use pets at home nuggets and wagg guinea pig food as people recommended it and my piggies love it. I also give them fresh Veg and fruit there is a huge big shopping list under the food section that will help you ;)
 
looks like the size of mine, and my two boys live happily in it, i have a 600ml water bottle which they share, 1 food dish. i use the towels and polyester sheet in their cage so maybe someone else can tell you how to put in newspaper etc..

i get mine a bag of timothy hay every so often, they dont have it all the time they get the cheaper stuff which they like just as much tbh lol

Not sure, the measurements look like thats a bit small for two, but really not sure...I'm not good with that! ;D

If you get two boars then it is best to have two individual hidey hols for them, two bowls etc...to help stop any fights that may occur

You just need the one water bottle, and they will get most of their water from their veggies, so I doubt will get through a bottle a day!

You will need to make a gradual change from whichever food they are on in the beginning, but p@h nuggets are good as they stop selective eating! But make sure they do eat it :) There is a guinea pig shopping list giving you good and bad foods :)

IMO depends on if you are keeping them in or out, if you are getting a cage, obv indoors, so its upto you, you can see lots of reviews of different bedding in the housing section. I use newspaper, shavings and hay in some of mine, carefresh in some, and vetbed in the rest, its down to personal preference!

A get timothy for the racks and cheaper for the floor ;D

Some will go in the corner, the majority of mine do, some will go everywhere, depends on the individual piggie, but in my exp, boars seem to be messier! But providing they are cleaned out often, this shouldnt be a problem!

i like the look of the cabin thing! :smitten: i think it should be ok to get 1, however they could fight ?. about the cage not sure, would need measurments to be sure.
 
That cage is massive, its 140cm long...my cage is 120cm long and I've had 3 piggies in! I'd probably keep 4 maximum in the 140 cage :)
 
yeah the cage is fine just be careful not to overcrowd it with so many toys (which you're bound to buy as us piggy mums's just can't resist well i can't :embarassed:)
newspaper and a generous layer of hay works fine or you can use shredded paper but to be honest mine never liked it.
as for the bottles it all depends on you're pigs some of my pigs won't drink from the same bottle so i use two seperate ones (i have strange pigs there only semi bonded ;D they have one huge run but two of everything else)
and as for poops las people have said they go anywhere and every where although some pigs CAN be trained but not many.
