I'm tentatively planning on getting three sows (to keep indoors) some time in the near future, and whilst I can find plenty of guidelines on cage size there's not so much on run size. Letting them have free run of the house or a room is not an option. The room in which they would be living is a bit of a thin, awkward shape and I've been back and forth with the tape measure and scratching my head and my best laid plans are all coming to nought at the moment!

I reckon I can accommodate a 2x5 C and C cage in the shape of the blue boxes here (and would be the upper storey of a stacking cage):

The best run size I think I could do is equivalent to a 2x7 C and C cage but in the shape of the blue boxes here (and would be the lower storey of a stacking cage, but with some extra space at the front):

Would this be enough run space?

(There may possibly be a way of connecting with a tunnel or something to a little bit of extra run space but it's not wildly practical and I would need to step over it which may be rather terrifying for any poor guinea pigs!)

A good question our run for 4 pigs used to be 4x5 c&c s giving 20 cube space. They lived in a 2x6 I think.

Your setup would give them 10 cube space in the cage and 14 in the run. I think that should be fine.

You buying extra grids for the run? We used to do this and cable tied them together top and bottom so you could easily fold it away

Pardon my manners - welcome to the forum by the way :) Hope you enjoy your time here

Yes - the extra four squares at the front of the run would be cable tied so they could be folded away when it wasn't in use.
