Hi

Sorry about another question regarding cage size. I have a Ferplast cage measured it and its 50cm (width) x 95cm (length) x 40cm (height). Is this ample for 2 piggies? I'm stupid when it comes to maths and conversions! :red

size for cages

welcome to the forum from me and the girls from oz:)p:)p try this link for your conversion, :rose:rose
http://www.metric-conversions.org/length/centimeters-to-feet.htm
95cms= 3.11ft 50cms=1.64ft 20cms 1.31ft.
for 1 piggy the cage should be at least 3ft long by 2ft wide for 2 piggies the cage should be at least 4ft by 2ft wide. hoping this has helped. maybe you can get another cage and join together, or look at threads up top and build a C&C cgae. good luckxx>>>xx>>>xx>>>

I have two bigger than that for two piggies and that's still not enough. Do not buy another crapy pet shop cage, buy some grids and coroplast and build the cage yourself. Will be much better for your pigs and cheaper for you.

you're right, but that was the nicest way to put it. think about how you word things, especially when someone is asking for help.

we have the same cage. we keep it as a quarantine/ hospital cage. Its okay for 2 babies but ideally you would need a cage approximately 2' x 4' for a pair of pigs. theses are not very easy to come by, so a lot of people make cages from wire mesh cubes. they are alot easier to make than they look and the pigs love them.
here is a link for some ideas http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/4898/cat/500/ppuser/1601 and you can generally get the cubes from screwfix or B&Q. Keep the cage you have while they are babies, as open top cages aren't suitable for youngun's because thay can jump quite high.
