I have 4 guinea pigs they all live in my garage I have 2 girls that live together and 2 boys that don’t live together but have a mesh separater inbetween them so the don’t get lonely. there hutches are way to small the girls hutch is a 4ft by 1ft pets corner Hutch and the boys have a 4ft by 2ft cage split in half I feel like these sizes are way to small and I would love to make my own cage out of c&c grids but my parents keep saying that there happy and have enough room even though THEY DONT and they say that they don’t want to move the whole garage around just for some guinea pigs and it makes me RLLY ANGREY that they said that . they obviously don’t know that there living creatures and need to be looked after PROPERLY. I’ve had guinea pigs for along time now for around 3 or 4 years now and my dream has always been to give them a much Bigger cage and I’m going to pay with my own money so the don’t even have to pay for anything... but they still say the same thing what do I doooooooooo 😢😢😢😓😓😓😣😣😔😔😖😖😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I don’t know what you can do either to be honest. The girls need at least a 2x4ft and the boys a 2x4ft each. Perhaps think about getting the money together then showing them how you can stack the cages. It could be built round a corner and still give them enough space.

I'm not sure that there is a lot that you can do when it isn't your house. Would there be space to house either the boys or girls in your bedroom? You could perhaps look into C&C cages which could be stacked so you could have a big cage on the bottom and then another on top which should technically save on space that is currently being used.
Other than that it's taking the lead on thinking ahead, making sure you have a part time or weekend job (not great in the current climate but non essential shops will be opening soon) to ensure you have your own income to cover any costs so that you can be sure your piggies get what they need.

Well done for doing your research and trying to do what's best for your animals. I hope you find a way to make it work in the meantime are you able to give them plenty of floor time?
