I've noticed quite a few calcium deposits on my piggies' fleece and have had a scare with some squeaky wees in the past so am looking to change their diet to something a bit more bladder friendly. They are currently on pets at home muesli as my oldest boy is nearly 5 and flatly refuses pellets. I've tried:
burgess excel (though not a fan of the molasses or lucerne) all of my 4 pigs refuse this. I've also tried the blackcurrant and oregano which nobody was a fan of either.
Pets at home nuggets, nibbled at but mostly left, ingredients aren't overly great either.
JR farm nuggets from zooplus, I think my boys were put off by the pellet size, though even when broken up into smaller pieces they mostly ignored them.
Science selective fared a bit better, they'd eat a few but not many.
I know muesli is bad for piggies but as mine aren't pellet fans and muesli is usually lower in calcium I went for that, however the calcium deposits are still there on the fleece and they've all started leaving a lot of it. They quite like nature's touch so was wondering if I could use that as a complete food? Also does anyone know how much calcium is in it? I can't find the percentage on the bag.
I was thinking of trying oxbow but have heard good and bad things, the bad being that the types of calcium in it are more likely to form stones. Forgot to add, they're all on filtered water and low calcium veg. Sorry for the essay but thanks for reading, any advice would be wonderful
