Hi everyone,

I have another question about my 6 year old boar. I’ve given him his vet ordered bath this evening and was just drying him. Picked him off the towel and saw a patch of white, checked him over and he had a bit of white on its bits so went to get some damp kitchen towel. When I turned him over to give him a clean a small but substantial amount of white liquid came out...

I’ve never seen this before so wondered if this was calcium deposits or maybe something else....

Thank you and Tommy is mortified at me for making this public

Hi!

It can be a calcium laden pee that dries into powdery white patches on the fleece. It is the natural way of the body to excrete any excess calcium. The very occasional one is not a problem.
However, if you see deposits several times a week you need to check whether your diet is too high in calcium as it can lead to bladder stones or slush.
