Good morning all. Hope everyone's well!

My guinea pigs don't usually leave white spots on their pee pads - 1-2x a week at most and some weeks nothing at all.

These past few days I've been seeing white spots on their pee pads everyday.

The only thing I have changed is I have started using meadow hay as bedding then timothy hay on top. Before, their hay tray was just pure timothy hay.

Is this just their body probably getting used to having meadow hay? I'm not sure if I need to switch back immediately to just timothy hay or wait and see.

Thank you so much!

Bumping. Calcium deposits worry me too 🙁
Thank you. It's really odd as I did not expect meadow hay to have that much of an effect - so I'm not entirely sure what is happening. it is the only thing I have changed in their diet recently.
