Calcium Mineral Deposits In Kidney

I wondered if anyone has any experience of this problem please?
I made the journey from Newbury to see Simon, at the Cat and Rabbit Care Clinic, Northampton just over a week ago with Rosie and Buddy.
I went for a dental with Rosie and I am happy to say she is doing well!
Whilst I was there Simon asked if I'd like him to check on Buddy as he was showing some sort of stomach discomfort. Buddy ended up having an x-ray and Metacam for a week as mineral deposits were shown on the kidney - this was also slightly enlarged. Buddy has been fine until this weekend. He's lost 70g in weight, is eating and drinking only a little and he's only taking 1 - 2 mls Critical Care at a time. I've been to my local vet this morning. He's asked me to continue Metacam for 6 days and also take Sulfatrim (he was on this 3 weeks ago for snuffly nose). Also, vit A in water and cranberry juice (not yet tried). I've changed water to filtered, am offering critical care, lots of fresh hay and low calcium fresh veg.
Any help would be appreciated please - everyone was so lovely last time I posted! Thank you for being there!

Hi. Simon's vet got back to me this morning. Simon suggested was that we could increase the pain relief if necessary with Tramadol. Buddy's eating a little hay independently and taking Critical Care and water very reluctantly! Thanks for replying.
