well, this is quite cheeky really...rolleyes

Hubby and I need to go to Scotland Sat to Wed (was supposed to be Sat-Mon) and are looking for a sitter. Our piggies don't travel well so we have to leave them behind. Usually I'd ask my neighbour to feed them but she is an old, frail lady. Feeding them for a couple of days is fine but for 4/5 nights, I can't expect her to change the litter and everything.

The boys will come with their own cage if that's any easier, their food, fleece and general feeding paraphernalia. They are indoors pigs.

If you are able to help, please let me know... I'm in LBeb but can travel.

wirral cavy rescues?

Hi all, i'm a newby to the forum, I'm looking for contact details for Mrs Ashton in moreton whom we adopted 3 lovely pigs from over3 years ago. Unfortunately two of the pigs have passed away over the last 6 months and now stripe is on her own and needs new friends.

can any of you suggest where i can go to adopt rather than go to somewhere like PAH?

nice to see we have cavy-lovers so close-by!

I too would recommend Nutmeg, she's very good and travels all around the region to deliver pigs to new homes. She came to ours to collect a rescue pig (the one in her avatar) whom we couldn't keep as I was about to give birth (went into labour the following day!).

Alternatively, there is also a rescue in Northwich where I got one of my pigs (before I found out about this place) and I can forward the details of the place to you if you want.
