So I have our leo out for some lap time right now and I've gotten used to catching the pigs, it's more the calming them down once they're on my lap. Leo has been diving about trying to escape for the last 10 minutes, does anyone have anyways to calm him down? He is currently wrapped in a towel for saftey right now?

parsley? A little of their favourite treat might help - although some pigs won't touch food when scared. I think maybe just perseverance with a nice firmish stroke and all snuggled in the towel - a calm voice, keep lighting and movement low and calm - no loud music or shouting. I hope someone comes along with some more wise advice - mine is a bit basic but I kind of sensed you need for immediate help!

Thanks, I've been a headless chicken with them, worrying about the slightest little thing! will definatly try a treat when I take him out tomorrow again, I'm so used to Toffee, waiting to be picked up and curling up on my lap and sleeping, this is all abit weird to me x

I'd suggest holding him and lightly speaking to him in a calm voice, telling him everything is okay and stroking him.

Maybe holding him against your heart would help lull him with the constant rhythm. Also try offering him some food.

I know its a bit hard with the fireworks, luckily my four aren't phased by them and there's no extremely close neighbours setting them off.

I'd also suggest staying calm yourself. If he sees you freaking out about him freaking out it might make him feel even worse.

Good luck.

Is Leo part of a group or has a calm mate, if so I'd do all of the above anyway, but if you can have two piggies on your lap, one being Leo then maybe he'll see that there is noing to be frightened off. Ive had my flossie for a month or so now and she's still a little skittish on my lap but she's starting to chill a little, but I insisted on having them both on my lap...saves time when I'm trying to get cuddles and lap time for them all.
