my guinea pig is a 3 year old abyssinian guinea pig and hes lived in my bedroom all his life but 2 weeks ago half the room flooded and 2 days ago we had an industrial dehumidifier put in the room to dry out the walls. we've been putting eddie in my mums bedroom in case the room was too hot for him but my mums room is really (i mean literally freezing) cold all day and most of the night. at night when the humidifer gets turned off i bring eddie back into my room. i really want to let him stay in my room 24/7 again because he HATES my mums bedroom, as soon as i put his cage in there he hides in his hut. he'll pop out if i put in a vegetable to lure him out of the hut but he'll drag it inside it and he wont come out. but then soon as i put my cage back into my room he goes back to his usual bouncy playful eat everything in sight self.
i know small dehumidifier's arnt bad for guinea pigs but if you google an industrial one you'll understand the size of what i have in my room. its roasting hot in my room and even though its winter i have to have a fan on 24/7 just to keep myself slightly cool.
what should i do for the best?

:/ I'd be reluctant to put him in your room if it's too warm and if the chances of daily humidity fluctuations can occur, plus the sound might be just as scary. Though I don't know how loud they get. I find my guineas get over continous hums no matter how loud. They like hoovering because they think you can't hear them talking :P

Is it possible to get a little room heater for your mum's room?
