Following up on my last post on waring piggies, they have been separated. Both seem happier and the submissive one was popcorning round the hutch the first night when he went into his clean bachelor pad! Couple of days on and both are more content then they have been in the last 4 months.
Now can a piggy have too much space, do they feel vulnerable or lost in a big space on their own? He now has a 7x2 foot hutch to himself, I have a bedroom and then boredom breakers, hidden veg etc throughout the rest of it.
The dominant one has a 2 ft of living space in. Hutch contenting with a 3x3 covered locked run to himself. Set up in the same way
Is this too much space? I love that they have plenty of room but don’t know if they appreciate it.

No such thing as too much room in my opinion.
As long as there isn't too much open space and it has lots of hides, tunnels, cardboard boxes etc then I think your boys are very lucky to have so much space.

And remember that what we often think of as too much space would be laughed at in other countries with tougher rehoming requirements.
I was recently turned down from adopting a 4 year old guinea pig becasue I could not meet the minimum size standards for a pair of guinea pigs (and I personally think my cages are pretty big).
