I'm going on holiday for about 3 weeks-ish, I'm really going to struggle with my guinea care as my family who would usually have them will also be away. My other back up solutions are also limited due to everyone being on holiday. I'm looking for someone who can look after my guinea pigs. If you can they will have to be brought to you (I'm in the area of Middlesbrough,Stockon,Darlington) it would really be appreciated yet I am also concerned for my piggies as well you're all strangers to me. If there are any other solutions please tell me. I was suggested a pet care place but they're not vaccinated and I would rather trust you piggy lovers than them being in the care of a whole cramped shelter. Thanks.

I will also provide you will all the bedding, bowls, toys etc etc.

We would suggest you go to a boarding facility.
A boarding facility isn’t a cramped shelter - boarders only take those they have space for and with a good boarder, they will be well looked after.
There are no vaccinations for guinea pigs.

I would recommend that you check out local boarding facilities. Most would allow you to visit before hand so that you can make a decision. Speak to your local rescues to see whether there are any boarding places that they recommend. Or ask at your vets. They often know of pet boarding facilities.

You can get borders for guinea pigs and rabbits seperate to cat and dog shelters. I have a very good guinea pig borders close to me. I don't know your area though.

Perhaps you could join the Tees Valley Guinea Pig Rescue group on Facebook. The rescue is located in Middlesbrough so you are best poised to get local recommendations for good guinea pig boarding services there. Tees Valley is one of our recommended rescues.

PS: Please say goodbye to the totally outdated idea of holiday boarding you seem to cherish. Things have moved on loads! Most boarders either specialise in rabbits and small furries or have separate, spacious and well equipped premises which you can visit beforehand and they also usually have got websites with pictures and information. :tu:

Please share, I just want my pigs in the right hands.

July 19th to 9th
Do you mean 9th to 19th or 19th to 29th ?
We are moving to East Yorkshire on the 9th but if your holiday is from the 19th I would be willing to care for your piggies if it’s not too far for you.
I am temporarily without piggies so there is a vacant cage available.
