Can anyone tell me what this is?

We have this growing in our grass. I assume it is some sort of weed? Is the grass still safe to give our guinea pigs? It has little white flower heads. We haven’t used any weed killer or chemicals on our grass and don’t have a dog so I was hoping it would be safe for the piggies but I do t know what this weed is.

Not 100% but might be a bittercress, wait and see if anyone better qualified than me knows.

An app I use also thinks it's bittercress, does it have a rosette of leaves at the base, and if so what do they look like?

I also think that this is one of the bittercress family of plants. I would compare the rest of the plant to some of the photos on the internet. If it is bittercress it is not poisonous to piggies. Mine will eat it if there is nothing else offered.

Thank you! I had a look at various sites and I think you are right, this looks exactly like bitter cress. I went out last night and collected some grass and the piggies went crazy for it! I’ve never seen them so excited.
