Hi all
I've just bought a lovely organic cabbage and I thought I'd give the lovely outside leaves to Max, but then someone said GP's shouldn't have it as it is like lettuce and will give him the runs....?

I found something that helped me out tremendously...go look in the Food Section....there is a Sticky that has good and bad foods. I do believe cabbage is a great food. I buy this bag of Romaine, etc mix....but without IceBerg lettuce...and my girls go for the Red cabbage everytime!
Print out the list and keep it with you for reference...its great!

Welll...i was wrong, mine eat the Romaine Lettuce
- Lettuces - red, green, butter, Boston and other,,,,they like the Red one most though.

Did you find the Shopping List? Its a great resource. I've made a list on my refrigerator that has what they have tried...and liked/no liked. That way i can keep up and give that food again anytime. If they dont like it...i dont try it again.

Cabbage is fine for most pigs, but there are exceptions for those pigs susceptible to digestive problems. Half or quarter of a leaf a day is more than enough for a pig. Cabbage, kale and broccoli are all ones to feed in moderation - despite fair nutritional contents.

mine love spring greens or spring cabbage but they get one leaf between two every few days as I'm worried they will get a bit gassy and uncomfortable. I wonder do guineas fart? I have never heard mine do it but I would imagine it could happen if you feed too much :))
