Can grass heads be fed?

I picked some grass for the piggies from the river near my parents house and couldn’t help but pick grass heads as it was mixed in with the grass. Are the piggies ok to eat it or should I pick them out?

I feed them I don't think there's a problem. Some of my past piggies ate the stalk and left the top bit!
