can guinea pigs actually swim?

Pigs should get their whole heads submerged and in my experience they aren't over keen on water. Some would probably be ok I guess but that was just cruel, throwing him in like that! :tickedoff:
 
i know, i thought that was a bit mean too. he got out really quickly, cant like it that much!

It's horrible what people will put up on youtube :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: if enough of us put in 'not appropriate' votes it gets taken off O0 O0 O0
 
Well you seen the vid clip yourself - Yes they can swim but did it look like it enjoyed it ? NO :-\ It swam straight back out when the owner probably just chucked it in :'( It is cruel in my opinion :)

How can we educate people not just with piggies but with animals and hey humans as well :-\ :-\ :-\ We need to so get back to basics of being kind to all, whether they be animal or human :smitten: :smitten: That's my wish and i do hope i get to see it implemented more over the years :) :)
 
I have been advised that Guinea Pigs are natural swimmers but not all of them like it

I did know of a pig that did a sponsored swim once, going up and down in the bath and raising cash for a rescue but seemingly he loved it.

I guess that if your piggy loves baths then (s)he might enjoy swimming but I'm not advocating it
 
i won't watch the video but from comments the poor little mite didn't like it and it would have been a shock to it's system to thrown in the water like that. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: people have to learn animals have feelings too and they are to be loved and cared for and not for amusement! well not amusement like that! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: i agree if people vote they hated it it will be removed. hoping the silly owner doesn't do anything else silly with the poor little mite. some people don't deserve animals as pets. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: and yet humans called animals dumb, i wonder who are the dumb animals.? hugs and cuddles to you and your fur babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
 
I put a shallow pie dish in the run in the summer and mine clammer to get to it and i often come out to find them spread flat in it,

i find them very funny with water, but they hate being bathed, but are more than happy to lay in it on their own terms
