Can Guinea Pigs eat Rosemary?

I've just been outside to check on the damage caused by last nights torrential downpour.. I ran my hands over our Rosemary bush and came back inside. The guinea pigs went mad, screaming as soon as they caught a wiff of the scent.
I haven't given them any as i think it's a bit if a grey area when it comes to that sort of herb. Could anyone enlighten me on as to where that plant stands?

Rosemary is ok in moderation I believe like most herbs
