I believe the answer to my question is "no", but I want to be sure because I saw some rabbits running about on the grass in my garden this morning. They were just inside the hedge that separates us from the arable field next door, but if my piggies are at risk from them or their urine, I will have to avoid that area when picking grass or giving them run time.
If anyone can confirm the facts, I'd be grateful! 👍

No, they can't get it.

Otherwise you would have found information and vaccination reminders plastered everywhere on here and in vet clinics! ;)

Thanks, @Wiebke , that is reassuring. I really wouldn't want my pigs to get myxi, it's a vile disease. I remember seeing some rabbits with it in the garden of our first house, they looked terrible, my husband put one out of its misery with his air rifle on one occasion. :td:

I so very glad that guinea pigs are immune to myxi and RH2D! Poor wild rabbits and unvaccinated pets... :(

Me too!
I didn't usually feel sorry for the bunnies that came into my old garden, as they ate my flowers and vegetables, but I did feel sorry for those I saw that were quite obviously suffering from myxi.
