Can guinea pigs have oats?

I saw a picture on this forum of someone's guinea pig with some oats. Was not sure if you could give guinea pigs oats or not?

My pigs love rolled oats and also porridge oats.

I've given mine oats as a treat, and they've always been fine eating them

I've given mine oats when I ran out of food or when I wanted one to gain weight. Just introduce them slowly and give them small amounts as a treat if you like I kinda think they prefer normal GP food though!

Yep mine get oates, porriage oates the asda best price bag I gave them to artie when he was recovering from a chest and eye infection as they help put weight on piggles!
