Piggies don't sweat. Any dampness on their coat is from condensation if they only have a small badly ventilated and overheated cosy available. East Anglian Guinea Pig Rescue
You can find explained how guinea pigs regulate their body temperature at the start of this guide here because it is crucial in how you care for your guinea pigs during hot weather: Hot Weather Management, Heat Strokes and Fly Strike
Guinea pigs regulate their body temperature via increasing or decreasing the blood flow through their ears. It is not the most efficient way, which is why they struggle with heat/cold extremes and quick changes in temperature to which they are not adapted to.
That is why most piggies also have a bald patch behind the ears to enable this kind of ventilation.
No sweating. They lose heat through their ears... with pigs with pink ears, you can really see the difference when they are hot, as the ears will get really pink as the blood flow increases! Pigs are sensitive to heat stroke, probably because it's not the most efficient way to cool down!
