Personally I wouldn't want to risk it, as a high of 13degrees means quite cold outside of the highs. Maybe pick some grass. And bring it inside :) x

I have decided to let him out. The garage where he lives is usually only slightly warmer then the outside temp because the radiator doesn't work properly. He seems pretty happy, he is wheeking and nomming all the grass he can see :)

Awwh he sounds very happy! The weather is lovely here today isn't it? I'm going to put my piggies out for a short time when I've finished my essay :)

Just don't let him out for too long as the ground is not yet warmed up or at least provide him with a dry, hay filled shelter slightly off the ground and out of the way of any cold breezes as soon as the sun is gone for moment. UTI (urinary tract infections) are quite frequent in guinea pigs because they are so low on the ground, especially in spring - for exactly that reason!

It is luuurvly :) Sat out in the grass with him and my bunny is doing binkies in the sunshine :D I don't want to keep him out too late. As the sun starts to dip behind the fencing I think I will put him in. But he seems very happy indeed :)

I wish my boys would enjoy it! lol, they scoff grass when its in their cage, but no matter what i try in the run they just sit there and look at me like I'm mad. "mommy why is the floor eddible?" face. They sort of clump together in the corner, and move round so theyve mown a little quater circle of grass. If i give them hideys, they just sit under them and mow. lol, even if two hideys are connected by a tunnel they wont venture out... and this is after a year of trying. *when weather permits* I have the wierdest piggies ever.

McMac used to be like that. Would just huddle in the corner and not do anything. But now he is a lot more confident he is the best little lawnmower around :(|)

Hurry up sunshine and warmth!!

One of my piggies had a run with a covered top and loved it. The second one after first died hated the run and would hide in the house and just not come out. But my hubby made a big hole in the top and covered it in wire. When he could see the sky he came out..funny things.x)

haha. Yes, they are all so different! I have tried covering the run.. that doesnt work either :( But thanks :)

I used to put little towels down if it was still a bit coolish on the grass........ but i always tested it first.....by doing the kneeling test, if your knees are damp it's too damp for piggies

I bet McMac had a lovely nom of the greeeen spaghetti drool
