i have two male guineas right now around 6 months in the near future i would like to get another one. I was wondering if i could get another male guinea pig but it would only be 3-4 months old when i get it so would it be safe from fighting etc. or would i need to get a girl ?

A boar trio is a recipe for disaster, sorry they may all fall out and you could end up with 3 piggies all living separately. If you wanted more piggies then you would have to make a completely separate set up and get either another two boars or two sows (sows kept in the same room as boars can be tricky) always touch/feed the boars first then the sows as the smell of sows will drive your boars mad and can lead to fall outs x

Don't add another male piggy to a bonded pair that is a recipe for disaster. Don't add a girl in either this is also a recipe for disaster. I had a herd of 2 boys living with 3 girls quite happily for around 3 years (very unusual) and I had to split them when Christian decided he wanted all the girls for himself and was subtley bullying Dennis. So more than 1 boar per sow(s) doesn't work. Christian is now with Velvet and Meg and Dennis is now with Betsy. The boys have been neutered.

If you want to get more piggies get a couple of boars that are already bonded from a rescue and don't let them meet your other two.
