well tomorow i am going to get a baby girl pig for hunny i think a baby girl is a good idea as then hunny can mouther her if she wants and be the domanate one do you think this is a good idea

i would be very greatful to your apoins and sugestions are very welcome i want to put hunnys well fair first
rember her sister died and she is craving piggy atention :'(

That sounds fine to me, although I only have boars. Do remember to introduce them on neutral territory though and if you are getting baby girl from a pet shop to have a quarantine period to be sure she is healthy as if she had mites or something, your other sow could get them :)

for got to mention i was anoied by pets at home they told my mum that is isnt a good idea and i no as so many of you have introduce new pigs to others it is posible.

i am really excited for my squeakers going to be so happy

We got a baby guinea for Molly when her cage-mate died . . .

they had run time on the rug in the living room for a while, seemed a bit indifferent to each other at first but at least they didn't NOT get on! Molly did kind of mother her, definitely told her who was boss. We have since introduced another 3 baby guineas and haven't had any problems whatsoever with any of them, but definitely don't just stick the new one in the hutch, get them somewhere neutral first.

You must be so excited! (I'm in Hampshre too btw)

When Sevi's adopted sister and cage-mate of nearly 4 years died she started to waste away. So we bought her two baby friends. It was soooo cute when they first met (on neutral territory-the patio!).
But we've never had any problems, after a few minutes only they got on just fine. We kept an eye on them the first few days but there was nothing to worry about.

Good luck and I'm very jealous, I love watching it when they meet the first time!

so you all defently think its ok as long as i introduce them in nutral areas? 8) ::) :smitten:

Yes, just don't leave them alone together to start with when you're intoducing them.

They should be fine, sows are usually fine, very accepting of eachother, and you dont have all the bother of introducing them in the way you have to with boars...

Just give them some run time together, then if that goes well you will be fine O0
