Having a tough night with my poorly boy in the vets with diarrhoea and needing treatment overnight. He's been such a healthy boy and is really not very happy to be feeling so lousy.

I just hope he's ok :( They make us worry so much when they are poorly.

I haven't had any news from the vet yet. I am kinda scared to call them especially while I am at work. I couldn't cope with bad news at work but he's a feisty chap so hopefully the news is all good.
 
Plucked up the courage to phone the vet and my little man is still going... He's been a bit better overnight and started trying to eat for himself as well as having syringe feeds. He's having sub cut fluids and both Septrin and Metronidazole so they are giving it a good shot at getting rid of it. They are keeping him for a further 24 hours for more fluids and supplementary feeding.

Phew! Glad to hear he is still alive and kicking and hopefully this will do the job. Seriously stressed until they told me he'd made it through the night. Can relax a little now and let them keep looking after him.

Aww can completely sympathise with him... I'm off work with sickness &diarrhea :(

Suilvey update for this morning - eating more so they have managed to reduce his syringe feeds to every 4 hrs instead of every 2hrs and cease fluids as he is getting enough himself. Antibiotics working well and only two episodes of diarrhoea since this time yesterday and a much less watery. Staying in for another 24 hours to make sure he keeps eating enough then maybe home tomorrow! Paws crossed!
 
Great news! I hope that he continues to stabilise and can come home soon!
 
Just caught up with your situation, hope he continues with his recovery, as you say he's a feisty little guy which is good. Continued healing vibes coming your way.
 
Only just caught up with this thread as I have been on night shift since NYE. So pleased to hear that your little man is feeling better. I hope he continues to make a good recovery x

Well I got to bring my wee boy home this morning. He's pretty skinny and his fur is a mess, still on lots of meds but at least he's doing better. He's not eating much but they thought he'd do better at home in familiar surroundings and back with Struan so here we are....

Just got to hope he keep pooing, eating and getting back to the perky, fat lad I'm used to having!
 
Ahhhhh, the poor little man - at least he is at home with his family now and I'm sure that will perk him up!
