Can my guinea pigs walk on lino flooring

My mums friend has some lino cut to the size of my guinea pigs cage ( they are fully litter trained ect ) and i dont really know if its safe for them to walk on 24/7? They have a box thats full of hey which they sleep in ect so i was thinking to make the floor lino as i already use puppy training pads as the flooring and its a bit costy every month so with lino i can just disinfect it and sweep up. Wouldnt lino hurt their feet though?

You will need some sort of bedding on top of the lining. There are a range of bedding materials from fleece to cardboard and wood based. I personally use aubiose horse bedding which is hemp based. With the lino you absolutely need something absorbent for their stray wee's so if you went for fleece you would need a mattress topper or towel layer as well
