Can piggies eat bread?

My piggy loves a piece of bread crust as an occasional treat, he turns his nose up at every treat I buy him apart from his willow ball which he and Tommy have detroyed in about two days flat but, I have found that he loves bread. He doesn't it oftern but is it ok? (Sparky will be devastated if its not! :o)

I think that as a occasional treat it is ok not loads either and not white bread as it has loads of rubbish in it I am sure some one on here toasts it and treats piggies with it on occasions

Thanks I find that he prefers brown to white by a long way

its weird what they like isnt it.. my meeka likes to help herself to a cup of tea! lol

I dry out slices of wholemeal bread (just leave it on the window sill) and give my guineas a small bitesize piece as a treat each morning. They love it.
