My two have quite a few rolls! they weight just over a kilo each (1084g and 1152g at approx 9-12m of age)

When are piggies too fat and what do you do if they get too porky? They eat a healthy diet of burgess excell nuggets (1 bowl shared a day) and plenty of fresh veg,hay and grass (never any of them sugary petshop treats)

They take daily exercise

I always think it's better to see a piggie a bit overweight than underweight. You could always give them more floor time so they could chase each other around.

They vary from 700g upwards I've some smaller ones and some who go * to 1300g. I don't like pigs being overweight for health reasons, yours sound like good weights not overweight at all. :)

sounds like a nice weight to me - like Lou says, pigs can vary in weight, and their weight sounds perfect!

Phew thanks, I'm glad to hear they are healthy enough :) They get 4-6 hrs floor time a day, I let them out when the kids are at school or in the eve when the kids are in bed if I'm out in the day

They scurry around chasing each other from the living room to the kitchen so pretty much have the whole bottom floor at their disposal now I have "piggy safed" it

I dont know if they had any floor time in their old home and their cage was def on the small side (iv had them 4w on sat) so if i keep letting them exercise and weigh them now and again I should be able to see whats "normal" for them wont I ?

They just seem so big compared to baby!

Their weights sound fine to me. My biggest boar is over around 1300g and he gets loads of exercise.!
The golden one looks lovely and chunky! xoxo

Anything from 2lb - 4lb (900-1800g) is normal, and your pigs look and sound absolutely fine.

I have two eight month old girls, one weighs 2lb 9oz (1162g) and the other is tiny at 1lb 12oz (793g). My biggest adult is 3lb 5oz (1500g) and has been since he was 12 months old. Weight varies so much with each piggie! Personally, I 'prefer' the chunky, big-boned and slightly chubby pigs.

I usually advise that, if the pigs belly is on the floor when they are walking high on their feet, then they are overweight.
