I was recently on a treat website for almost all pets and I was trying to find new home made treats for my cats and dogs. And I found these Minty Breath Hearts and it says its for dogs, horses, goats, ponys, hamsters, rats, and guinea pigs. I am not sure on the ingredients and I went onto one of my facebook groups but some people are getting a little rude with their comments. So I am not going to check it no more until admin looks at the post. I also want to get an opinon for everyone here the ingredients are : Mint, Parsley, Vanilla, Coconut Oil, Crispy Rice, Gluten free flour. It would be nice to know if they can in very very very very very very small amounts and i mean very small amounts

Hi there, I honestly don't know but I'm not keen on flour or coconut oil being given to them. I can't even recall seeing those ingredients in any other products.

Might be one to give a steer clear.

I would only give them natural foods of the type they would normally eat. For my piggies, a grape or mini tomato is a treat. They don't need treats that are more like the sort that we have, especially when containing foods they wouldn't normally eat.

They do look tempting dont they? I am inclined to agree with others that some of the ingredients are not suitable. Fresh herbs make great treats. Good luck with finding somethings to spoil your piggies with.

I would not give them to my piggies either, I have read somewhere that coconut is quite high in fat and to avoid giving it to piggies so I assume coconut oil would be high in fat too. Is it just me or do they look a little bit like soap lol. My two like a small piece of apple for a treat.

I would avoid them too. Piggies should really only have a natural diet of hay, veg, herbs fruit and a small amount of pellets. Flour, rice and coconut are not suitable for piggies. There are plenty of real treats - blueberries, a bit of melon skin, or fresh grass are all adored
