I would hazard a guess that it is either fungal or excoriation from urine scalding, the latter being due to the site affected.
If it's fungal, better to get treatment from a good Vet asap - do you have other piggies as it may be contagious ?
Sudocrem is good for skin problems but would still seek the advice of a Vet :)

I would see a vet to be safe, if its fungal you can use a few things to treat it but position its in I would get it checked out first :)

If you have other guinea pigs who are in contact with her check them over. I'm pretty sure my Piggie had something like that last year but best check with a vet. Let us know when you have a diagnosis

Have put some sudocrem on the sore bit and will see what it is like in the morning, Any worse and i will phone the vet.

Take her to the vet. Do you have an exotic vet in your area?

If you ceck out the Health and Illness section there is a list of recommended vets on there at the top.

It looks like a fungal infection to me. These are often very contagious and will quickly spread to your other pigs and can be transmitted to people so please wash your hands thoroughly after handling him (I'm sure you would anyway!). It is also worth taking any cagemates to the vet at the same time just in case it is something they will all need treated for.

Good luck!

Get well soon little one! Won't be long before she is feeling a bit more comfy. x
