So Hugo is about 6 months old and he developed a URI in June (about 2 months ago). We took him straight to the vet and he was put on baytril for a week. He then started to sneeze again a few days later so the vet put him on another 7 day course of baytril but that still did not clear it. The vets took a swab of his nose and said the best antibiotic would be septrin so he was put on a 2 week course of 0.1ml (paed) twice a day. After researching, I thought that 0.1ml of septrin paediatric was very low so I decided to give him 0.3ml twice a day (I still don't know if that is too low). He weighs just under 1kg. He is due to finish his two week course tomorrow but is still sneezing so I don't know what to do. Can I keep him
On the septrin for longer than two weeks and can I put the dosage up higher? Thanks in advance for your help!

I would speak to your vet about the dose as it does seem low to me but it depends on his weight. I usually dose at 0.4ml twice a day but my pigs are bigger than he would be at 6 months. It may be that he needs to be on it longer. Was he given anything to help clear any mucous like Bisolvon?
