Can Someone Point Me In The Direction Of Grass Time Please

I have lots of ground bees/ solitary bees in the girls run. But they have never caused a problem.
They dont seem to take any notice of each other :)

U can get rid of ants by pouring boiling water on the nest. Just follow the ant trail back to the nest, usually with fine soil churned up on it.
Oh &if u have fish. Poke out a few white/pink tinged ants eggs & feed a few to the fish (pond or aquarium) they love them. :))
... No poison involved &quick.

With your greenfly use the soap suds from your washing up &smother the flies with suds.
Or squidge them between your fingers- bleuk!
Again all very eco friendly.

As Kerrie74 says -the concrete is fine &will wear down their nails, but go very careful as it gets unbearably hot in the sun :(

I'm afraid I'm guilty of watering the run grass- in the evenings sometimes when its been really hot& ive put the girls to bed. It keeps the grass green &fresh. Its all soaked into the soil by morning.
...Do you think I spoil them?
;)

Clover in moderation is fine. But buttercups &a lot of other bulb originating plants are toxic to piggies :(

I'd usually say 2 or 3 separate short grasstimes are better than 1 long one when u start them off.
They can't gorge themselves on green spaghetti &are less likely to suffer bloat or stomache upsets if there's a break inbetween grass sessions.

Xx

Thanks.. I was thinking about 15 mins for their first session.. Will try and rip up most of the clover.. Didn't realise there was so much on the grass as I don't do gardening...

I wouldn't worry about ripping out the clover, just dont let them gorge on anything too quickly.
If u have stones or even cosy's put them on the grass to limit their access for the first few times. Or even pieces of cardboard will help slow them down.

15-20 mins should be fine to start. Just take it slowly &very gradually.
