I have just realised that for the last week or so I have been giving the boys a sprout between them every day. They didn't like sprouts when they were little but I tried them again recently and, although not their favourite veg, they are eating it happily. I had unused sprouts in the fridge and so ended up giving them one a day without really thinking about it. It just dawned on me now that I'm not sure if sprouts can be given daily.

Can anyone advise please?

They have the same Ca: P ratio as cucumber and brocoli for example so are not high calcium veggies! So IMHO they're fine as a regular veg :-) they're in the low-mid calcium section off Laura's sticky thread on Ca: P ratio too, I looked them up on guinea lynx myself here: http://www.guinealynx.info/diet_vegs.html

They can be a little gassy, so just bare (is that the correct bare or should it be bear? Where are the grammar police?) that in mind. I wouldnt make a habit sprouts daily for that reason, either with the pigs or @Mrs Sport_Billy :))

Ha ha - think you might be about to get into trouble again!

You were right the first time - it is 'bare' - the other one is a grizzly - just like MrS!

:)) I dunno why I tagged her in, I could have got away with it... Must be the adrenaline rush I suppose..

Thanks for the 'Bare' I will remember in future :)
