Hi All,

Just wondering if any of your piggies have ever jumped over c and c grids, is this possible ?

I'm having the cage up on a table and am worried if they somehow jump over its a long drop, should i extend the grids ?
Thanks

Hello. Piggies can jump quite high. So I suppose technically they might be able to jump over but I don’t think it’s something that happens often. Make sure you don’t put any hides near the sides as they can jump on top of them to get extra height.

Hi the only time I’ve heard of this happening was when a hidey or other cage accessory was placed too close to the grid walls and they climbed on top of it to make an escape.

Piggle could jump over a single grid quite easily when she was younger, so our C&C cage is 2 grids high except the sides against the walls. Piggle is exceptionally bouncy- and creatively naughty- most piggies wouldnt even think of trying it!

I had one who jumped over a single grid and there were nothing for her to climb on nearby. I found her under the cage eating hay off the floor. I built a lid for the cage after that!

Thank you all, i will make sure to not put anything near the edge, 2 sides are up against the walls, i will double grid the other 2 sides.
Thanks

I grids with 3x9 holes in them to make them higher. I can still reach in, but they can’t jump over it. If you use 2 9x9 grids it limits your view and accessability to the cage.
