Can You Feed Too Much Hay?

I have 6 boys and feed hay twice a day , they also have hay in their bedroom area- I only ask as I have got through a whole bale of hay (same size as people buy for horses- although this is meadow sweet hay brought in for small animals) in less than 2 months !

Hi, you can't feed too much hay, but it may help to make it more economical by using hay racks to feed it to them

Hay should make up to 80% of the daily food intake, so you cannot overdose. You can put some hay in racks over a toiletting tray with a little hay in it and have just one box to burrow, sleep and play in. Some piggies have the bad habit of flattening everything and only picking out the nicest bits.
