i usually put a fleece blanket and then hay but they aren't drying very well so i wondered if i could put hay on top?

i have heard people say they do it with puppy pads?

thanks

I don't use bed mats but I use puppy pads with hay on top and it works really well. I do change them every 2 days though on high wee, poo areas x

I find the human disposable bed pads MUCH more absorbant than the cheaper puppy pads. Plus they're much bigger (60 × 90 cm) so I only need 4 to cover the cage rather than 8 of the biggest puppy pads. I use a good layer of hay all over the inco pads and aside from cleaning out wet hay daily, only need to change the underlying pads once a week as they suck in the liquid and keep the top layer reasonably dry and there's no smell at all. I'm finding this even easier than Aubiose and hay, although that comes a very close second.

Hi jackets, can I ask what pads you use? Might give them a go as they sound a lot better than what I am using

i tried this and it's still dry now. so it's working well so far. i put a layer of hay over them and removed any wet hay. i will be trying puppy pads soon aswell, or the human ones now you have mentioned them aswell.

Do you mean me - Mackers? I just bought the cheapest 90cm human disposable inco pads on ebay. Got them really cheap because the packaging was split. I originally bought puppy pads from Jollyes but they're really thin compared to the human ones.

Lol! Sorry that's my iPad predictive text! Oh ok I think I will try some inco pads

the hay worked well on top of the pads, just incase anyone wants to try it in the future :)
