Believe it or not they stay pretty clean as i have fleece at the bottom of the cage and then a hayloft. But when their fur feels like it needs to be washed then i do, but i normally bath them once a month.

I'm sure that they mess the hay up just to get on my nerves, as they always do it after ive cleaned the hayloft out. They look at me with those cheeky grins and eyes.
