My sister asked me this today and I had never thought of it, but I am not thinking that you can use this or not, so I am asking.
She wants to know if you can use Kitty Litter in the cage?

i wouldnt use clumping kitty litter. but paper litter such as bob martins from asda £1.98 a bag is fine :)

I wasn't sure if there were chemicals in the litter or whatever that could harm the piggies. SO, you can't use regular litter?

i use bob martins for my rats litter trays and i have even seen them nibble it but because its pure paper it just breaks down

because i use shredded paper in there beds and the loo stuff has to be different so they can tell thats the toilet not their bed ;D i also find its really absorbant

Telling the difference with piggies? Gosh, you have more luck than me then! ;) All of it is their loo! LOL

lol sorry i ment the rats......everywhere is baileys loo.. even your lap xx0

The fact that guineas are sooo inquisitive i'd not pop it in, they're just as likely to taste test and that's not a good idea.

LOL Rhona, we've all had that happen, welcome to piggie slavedom ;D ;D ;D :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I wouldn't recommend it at all just in case they were to try to eat it. It wouldn't be a good thing if your piggie ingested the cat litter as that could be extremely harmful to them.

Thanks for the replies. This is kinda like what I was telling her. Thnx! ;)
